 From the September 2005 Gallery.. My photographs for September 2005 include mainly local shots plus some photographs from a trip to tour the old prison in Wheeling, West Virginia. The Electric Lines photograph was shot one morning during a trip to Huntington, West Virginia. I had to plan a bit ahead and have the camera ready while I slowed the car on a bridge. I had passed this spot many, many times over the years and it had never been this stunning. The middle photograph was a political statement (or as close to one as I put on these pages). For the last photograph, we had a festival in downtown Ashland during the month and I strayed from my usual style to make a series of portraits. Mr. Bacon was my favorite of the bunch. He served up great ribs during the festival and has a place on U.S. 52 in South Point, Ohio where he serves up ribs on the weekends. As I approach the 2nd anniversary of 4x6, I'm doing a recap of my favorite photographs from the last year. Hope you enjoy them and I appreciate all the visits and comments during the previous year.
