![]() Museum of Radio and Technology Huntington, West Virginia Last year, I purchased two 'new' cameras that I hadn't yet tested- both of them being vintage Yashica Electro 35 range finders. The first one was $5.00 and the 2nd one was maybe $15 but came with a big case and some accessories. These cameras were popular in the 70s but now folks will almost give them away to you. My first roll was surprising- the camera takes time to focus and line up properly but the photos are clear, crisp and really nice. (I had the roll developed and scanned at a local 1 hour place. Retouching was limited to straightening and cropping, noise reduction for the scanner noise, resized, then a very, very slight sharpening to compensate for the downsizing. Excellent results for just a few bucks. Here's a link about it.) Comment (3) | Permalink |
