![]() Poage Landing Days Ashland, Kentucky The city of Ashland was founded by the Poage family who, according to Wikipedia, migrated through the Cumberland Gap from the Shenandoah Valley in the later part of the 1700s. In the mid 1800s the city became Ashland, named for the Lexington estate of Henry Clay that lies about 100 miles to the west. Poage Landing Days is primarily a fall arts & crafts festival with heavy emphasis on live entertainment and is my favorite festival of the area. Comment (2) | Permalink |
