![]() The 1st runner up is one of my Moore's Farm pictures. There's lots of shots to be had at this old farm, which is near industry and shopping centers. From the pictures, it looks like a very nice place to live. At one time, it would have been- but now it seems to be doomed as a farm because of developments that creep a little closer, retreat in decay, then get rebuilt. Someday, no doubt, this will be a parking lot. On the morning of this shot, a late spring snow had fallen. The leaves were out, as well as dogwood and redbud blooms. One viewer said that the shot reminds her of a mountain vacation that she once took, where they stayed in an old house with no electric or water. It rained on the tin roof and the mornings were misty and peaceful. That's what I get from the picture: a place that was once peaceful. (Note: The end of the first year for 4x6 is nearing. I've posted over 300 pictures, which even surprises me. Many thanks for all the encouragement, advice, arguments, and comments. I'll be posting some of my favorite shots, along with comments, from now until July 8th, which is the one year mark. I've selected 3 runners-up and the top 10. Feel free to tell me what the picture makes you feel, good or bad. That's what it's all about. ) Comment (2) | Permalink |
