I shot this image nearly two months ago and wasn't sure how to present it, or even if it was worth posting.  I think a gritty black & white is a good symbol of a buckle arctic boot that is used solely as a work tool.  As long as I can remember, my father has had a pair of these and put them to use in a number of situations ranging from picking corn, shoveling snow, and any work that is liable to be wet and dirty.  They have always been referred to simply as "the arctics".
