On Mother's Day , a coworker and I recalled memories of the big ole console stereos that everyone seemed to buy in the 1970s. These things were a big piece of furniture that lingered on far past their actual usefulness. My mother's stereo became the place for Christmas decorations and things like that. When she decided to have it hauled to the curb in 2006 for the scrappers, she had a last dance with my son. Debbie wanted to see the pictures and I found this one that I had put together years ago
