Carter Caves State Resort Park
Carter County, Kentucky

Last weekend, I took a solo walk on the Box Canyon Trail in the Cascades Caves area of the park.  This trail in short but rough because of the need to navigate through lots of rocks.  The Dutchman's Breeches were just starting to come out and I found this group that was in front of a darker overhang.  I like this photo but I don't think it's nearly as good as last years, seems to have an optical illusion to my eyes and I think I'm seeing double vision because layout of the blooms.   The soft dark green in the background leaves made such a nice backdrop to me and I didn't want to through it out.  I get tired of the brown leaf background that we often see around here.
