Here in Kentucky, our health care reforms seemed to play a large influence in our last election. People often vote against their own self interest, that's nothing knew but still is baffling. The election news informs us that counties who had the large majorities of folks on Medicaid and other benefits were the ones who voted for candidate and parties who openly supported curbing those same benefits.
The Guardian recently had a very in-depth investigative article on Kentucky and is very interesting. It's long, might be worth printing it out for later. Here is the article.
