Up and having coffee while editing the journals for the years 2000 to the end of 2001. Listening to a mix of music, Willie Nelson singing a cover of the Coldplay song The Scientist. Natasha Bedingfield did a great live version too but Willie has that special touch that makes it nice but difficult to say why. Sort of like trying to explain why a Hipstamatic I-Phone picture of certain subjects might be better than shooting with a full frame DSLR. There is often beauty in imperfection.

Editing journal page 358 of 651, those were pretty good days- I need to have it done by the first of the month. In the journal, I was having bouts of dreaming about my Grandfather. I had been doing genealogy research and could not remember the story that he told over and over about his childhood. In the dreams, I would ask him the question. When the dream would repeat, I recognized it as being a dream and still tried to get the answer out of him. Undoubtedly, one of the more interesting sets of entries. Also, at that time I won a contest and bought a compact Canon film camera and wrote an entry about wanting to shoot a photo a day to be published somewhere. That was how this project began- an idea from back in 2000-2001.

I like this photo but it required a heavy vignette to cover reflections from the window and in my monitor I see heavy banding. Some day I should get an Apple monitor, this one is really bad to the point of not being sure if I should be ashamed or not...whether others see the flaws as well as I do.
