There's a place that I happen to visit every few months for the past year and the elevator opens to a plant sitting on top of a dresser. Each time I think 'there's a photograph' but was never sure how to handle it until an idea of trying the digital art approach with the I-Phone. I'll have to think about the result for awhile , I think I might like it but at least I did finally get a passing photo of the scene. Today, someone said (quiet seriously and without malice) that photography was 70% equipment. It was a good day to have something distracting to think about instead of worrying. With that statement I was also reminded that someone, maybe it was Bob Foss, once said it would be difficult to explain to the average person just why we photograph what we do anyway.
